The Lowry Youth Dance Ambassador Scheme Applications Open!

The Lowry Youth Dance Ambassador Scheme aims to create opportunities for young people with an interest for dance in the North West of England to work with world-renowned choreographers and dancers on a number of levels; whether that be holding interviews, writing reviews, watching rehearsals or being mentored by dancers

Young people's ideas are vital to The Lowry; and the Dance Ambassador programme gives those who are excited about sharing their experiences and opinions on dance, a platform to shape dance within the region.

Training is provided during the year giving the Dance Ambassadors tips on how to interview directors and choreographers, how to communicate their thoughts through social media, documenting via film/photography, copy writing, blogging, writing marketing campaigns, review writing, project management and much more!

Across the last two years our participants have had the opportunity to see, meet and work with a fantastic list of professional dance artists and companies on a national and international level. Other opportunities have included delivering foyer events/working on marketing campaigns/volunteering for performance platforms/leading Q&As/taking part in workshops!

For the 2013/2014 season there are now 3 ways to engage:

Apply to be a Youth Dance Ambassador Champion

Apply to be a Youth Dance Ambassador Co-ordinator

Come to The YDA Open Day on Sunday 15th September 2013
