Summary

Shewa Dance is run by Claire Donaldson an experienced Dance Artist of over 10 years working in education and the community. Previously working for Dance United Claire specialises in work with young offenders and those in custody. Claire has now set up her own company, Shewa Dance in the North West region which specialises in contemporary technique, creative dance and choreography. Work in schools, as an Arts Award Adviser and in the community running regular Youth Dance classes in Trafford.

Background Information

Worked for Dance United as Associate Artistic Director and previously as a Dance Artist setting up and establishing the successful Academy programme -working in contemporary dance at a high standard with those in custody and with young offenders in the community. Have worked extensively in Schools as an adviser in Dance, with GCSE and BTec students and as an inset trainer with the Manchester Arts Initiative programme for drama and the arts in both primary and secondary settings.
