Youth Dance England Resources
There are a number of useful websites that list funding opportunities for dance and the arts. It can be difficult and time consuming to find what you are looking for so research is important.
Here are just a few useful websites to begin with:
Arts Council England
Art Council England
fund arts activities that engage people in England, or that help artists and arts organisations carry out their work.
They support a range of activities across the arts, museums and libraries – from theatre to digital art, reading to dance, music to literature, and crafts to collections.

Arts Council England
's website also lists some of the main sources of funding for the arts in the UK, particularly for those activities that they cannot provide grants for, such as those relating to films.
- Community Dance
The Foundation for Community Dance
lists funding opportunities for community dance artists, practitioners and organisations - particularly funding suitable for continuing professional development and training. It also lists funding opportunties for Dance and Health and Dance and Disability Projects.
- Dance Training
The Council for Dance Education and Training
focuses their advice specifically on funding for Dance Training including information on Dance and Drama Awards (DaDA) and the Music and Dance Scheme which funds the North West
Centre for Advanced Training in Dance.
- Professional Dance Artists
is The Place's online resource for the professional dance community; here you can find specific funding opportunities for professional dance artists.
- Professional Dance Companies
The British Council
in some cases provide support for dance and theatre companies in their work
Youth Dance England
have put together some fundraising advice to signpost young people and those who work with young dancers to fundraising sources and provide some useful tips.
Each year the
BBC's Performing Arts Fund
focuses on a different art for. In 2011 they developed two dance funding streams; Community Dance and Dance Fellowships.
County Sport Partnerships
fund local sport participation and some dance activity may be eligble for their criteria.
This is not a conclusive list. There are lots of funding avenues out there so keep searching.
